Terms & Conditions
Ohio Apostille Courier Services
Effective Date: October 2, 2026
Thank you for choosing Ohio Apostille Courier Services. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and apostille courier, document submission, and related services. By submitting an order, requesting services, making payment, or otherwise using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
1. Our Services
Ohio Apostille Courier Services assists customers with the submission and retrieval of documents for apostille and authentication processing, including courier services involving the Ohio Secretary of State and other applicable government agencies.
We are an independent service provider. Ohio Apostille Courier Services is not the Ohio Secretary of State, the U.S. Department of State, an embassy, consulate, court, or other government agency.
We do not control the policies, procedures, processing times, fees, acceptance standards, closures, system outages, or decisions of any government agency.
2. Quotes and Government Fees
Customers will receive a quote for the requested services before work begins unless pricing has otherwise been clearly established as part of the order process.
The Ohio Secretary of State and other government agencies may charge separate fees for each document or service requested. Government fees, courier charges, shipping charges, translation charges, notarization charges, and other third-party expenses may be separate from Ohio Apostille Courier Services' service or courier fee.
By approving a quote or submitting payment, you authorize Ohio Apostille Courier Services to proceed with the services described in the order.
If additional services, documents, government fees, shipping expenses, corrections, translations, or other charges become necessary, we may provide an updated quote or request additional payment before continuing.
3. Customer Responsibility for Documents
Customers are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and properly executed documents and information.
Before submitting an order, it is the customer's responsibility to verify that:
-
Names, dates, signatures, and other information appearing on the documents are correct;
-
The appropriate document has been submitted;
-
Any required notarization, certification, or supporting documentation has been properly completed;
-
The destination country and intended use of the document have been accurately identified; and
-
All information supplied to Ohio Apostille Courier Services is truthful and complete.
Ohio Apostille Courier Services may identify apparent issues during processing, but our review does not constitute a legal review and does not guarantee that a document will be accepted by a government agency or by the ultimate recipient.
4. Apostille and Authentication Decisions
The final decision regarding whether a document qualifies for an apostille, authentication, certification, or other governmental service belongs exclusively to the applicable government agency.
Ohio Apostille Courier Services cannot guarantee approval or issuance of an apostille or authentication.
A government agency may reject a document for reasons including, but not limited to, improper notarization, an unacceptable signature, missing certification, incorrect document type, insufficient information, improper execution, an unauthorized public official, or failure to satisfy the agency's requirements.
5. Rejected Documents and Refunds
Documents rejected because of errors, omissions, defects, eligibility issues, government requirements, or circumstances outside the control of Ohio Apostille Courier Services are not eligible for a refund of our service or courier fees once work has begun or services have been performed.
Government fees, shipping charges, courier expenses, translation charges, third-party charges, and other amounts already incurred on behalf of the customer may also be nonrefundable.
If a rejection results from an error directly caused by Ohio Apostille Courier Services, we will review the circumstances and determine the appropriate corrective action.
Submission of a document does not guarantee acceptance by the Ohio Secretary of State or any other governmental or receiving authority.
6. Processing Times
Any processing or completion times provided by Ohio Apostille Courier Services are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
Processing times may be affected by circumstances outside our control, including:
-
Government agency processing times;
-
Office closures and holidays;
-
Changes in government requirements;
-
Severe weather;
-
Carrier delays;
-
System or technology outages;
-
Document rejection or correction requirements;
-
Embassy or consulate processing; and
-
Other events beyond our reasonable control.
Ohio Apostille Courier Services is not responsible for losses, penalties, missed deadlines, travel disruptions, immigration consequences, business losses, or other damages resulting from delays outside our reasonable control.
Customers with a specific deadline should inform us of that deadline before placing or approving an order. Providing a deadline does not constitute a guarantee that processing will be completed by that date.
7. Shipping and Delivery
Ohio Apostille Courier Services takes reasonable care when handling and preparing documents for shipment.
Once documents have been delivered or tendered to the selected mail carrier, courier, or shipping provider, Ohio Apostille Courier Services is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, misdelivery, delay, or other delivery problems occurring while the documents are in the possession or control of the carrier.
Tracking information will be provided when available.
If a delivery problem occurs after the documents have been transferred to a carrier, the customer should contact the carrier directly and file a claim when appropriate.
Ohio Apostille Courier Services will gladly provide available tracking information, receipts, shipment details, or other documentation from our records that may assist the customer with a carrier claim.
Any compensation for a lost or damaged shipment may be limited by the carrier's applicable terms, insurance, declared value, and claims procedures.
8. Shipping Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping and return addresses.
Ohio Apostille Courier Services is not responsible for delays, losses, additional shipping expenses, returned shipments, or misdeliveries resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.
Additional charges may apply if documents must be reshipped because of incorrect customer-provided information or circumstances outside our control.
9. International Use of Documents
Apostille and authentication requirements vary depending on the document, issuing authority, destination country, and intended use.
The issuance of an apostille or authentication does not guarantee that a foreign government, embassy, consulate, business, school, court, immigration authority, or other recipient will accept the underlying document for its intended purpose.
Customers are responsible for determining the requirements of the organization or authority that will ultimately receive their documents.
10. No Legal Advice
Ohio Apostille Courier Services provides courier, apostille-processing assistance, and related administrative services.
We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
Information provided through our website, email, telephone calls, forms, or other communications is intended to assist customers with the administrative apostille or authentication process and should not be interpreted as legal advice.
We cannot advise customers regarding the legal effect of a document, determine which legal document a customer should use, draft legal documents, or determine whether a document will accomplish a particular legal objective.
Customers should consult a qualified attorney when legal advice is required.
11. Translation and Other Third-Party Services
When translation, shipping, notarization, government processing, or another third-party service is requested or required, Ohio Apostille Courier Services may coordinate or facilitate that service.
Third-party providers may maintain their own terms, processing requirements, fees, warranties, refund policies, and limitations of liability.
We are not responsible for acts, omissions, delays, or service failures of independent third-party providers except to the extent required by applicable law.
12. Cancellation of an Order
If you need to cancel an order, please contact Ohio Apostille Courier Services as soon as possible.
Cancellation does not automatically entitle the customer to a full refund. Once work has begun, documents have been transported or submitted, shipping labels have been purchased, government fees have been paid, or other expenses have been incurred, those amounts may be nonrefundable.
Any eligible refund will be determined based on the status of the order and the services and expenses already incurred.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ohio Apostille Courier Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services, including damages resulting from government processing delays, document rejection, carrier delays or losses, missed deadlines, or a third party's refusal to accept a document.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and current information concerning apostille and authentication procedures. Government rules, fees, forms, processing times, and requirements may change without notice.
Information appearing on our website is therefore provided for general informational purposes and may be updated as requirements change.
15. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the text, graphics, branding, design elements, and original content appearing on the Ohio Apostille Courier Services website are owned by or licensed to Ohio Apostille Courier Services and may not be copied, reproduced, republished, or commercially used without authorization, except as permitted by law.
16. Privacy
Information submitted in connection with an order will be handled in accordance with our applicable privacy practices and Privacy Policy.
Because apostille processing may involve documents containing personal information, customers should provide only the documents and information reasonably necessary to complete the requested service.
17. Changes to These Terms
Ohio Apostille Courier Services may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, government requirements, or applicable law.
The version posted on our website at the time an order is placed will generally govern that transaction unless otherwise required by law.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another jurisdiction's law is required to apply.
19. Agreement to Terms
By placing an order, approving a quote, submitting documents, or making payment to Ohio Apostille Courier Services, you acknowledge and agree that:
You understand that the Ohio Secretary of State and other government agencies may charge separate fees per document; you will receive or approve applicable pricing before work begins; government approval is not guaranteed; documents rejected for errors or circumstances outside the control of Ohio Apostille Courier Services are not refundable once applicable services have been performed; and Ohio Apostille Courier Services is not responsible for documents after they have been transferred to the applicable mail carrier or shipping provider.
